Addiction..........?

well Im sitting here in my office in the barn trying to catch up on my data entry of all my horse info and find myself constantly sitting on this site answering questions. Does anyone else have an addiction like me?? Sometimes I cant bring myself to get off and back to work....he he he

OMG! You mean its not just ME!?!

Wow...I am soooo relieved...yet overwhelmed, since I still have a million  things to do...yet here I am....God its a vicious circle.....really....need....to....get.....

I'm ba aaack.

I managed to stay gone for 24 minutes.

Who am I kidding? its totally useless.

I have so much to do, including a tackroom full of things to clean that I can bearly recognize what they are...yet, here I am.

Does that make me a YA junkie?

Needed my fix, so I'm back again. What I should be doing is going to the market since there is 0 as in zero food in the house, unless I want either dog kibble or omolene for dinner.

I am forcing myself away  and by the time I drive to town, shop and come back...that will get me off line for about 3 hours...

Then theres chores, so figure another hour and dinner...Wow, I could make it 5 hours....lets see how I do....!

My outing took soooo much longer than I expected...I stopped at the mailbox on my way out to pick up the mail...can you believe some f*ckhead stuffed a kitten in my mailbox???

So i am wayyyy behind...looks like its cereal for dinner ...well tomorrows another day...

I can eat cereal while perusing the posts...guess that means I don't have a life according to some opinions....

Oh no....out of milk....fortunately there is beer.....

Here's some 'therapy' for you...

Walk by your stalls and randomly 'thumb' your horses up or down.  *This also works when you look at your house and KNOW it needs a visit fom the vaccum fairy*...just thumb it down and head back to the computer...

***EDIT...WHOOO HOOOOO!!!  Look!  I made it 47 minutes!!!! Then my fingers started to tremble and hubby pointed out to me....that I am talking to him with my fingers like I am typing!!

I began to notice a 'crick' in my neck...as I would pass the computer I had to look over at it...

I notice I am walking in random circles...not doing anything constructive...merely coming back to where this lovely glowing screen sings it's 'siren' song to me....

I have other forums that I go to also but lately, I find myself here more and more.  I "work" from home albeit alot less since I've found this place. he he

And sometimes, I swear after after trying to decipher some of the spelling and ridiculous questions and answers here, I say to myself"I've had enough", but, here I am...again...getting my fix!!

I think I might have that same problem!

I am supposed to go and sign up for the county fair in a few hours and I still haven't had enough motivation to get off lol. Right when I decide to get off I see another interesting question. I usually say to myself right after this one okay the next one, maybe just one more...

Edit: Yes I did actually get my butt off of the computer to register for the fair! I find it amazing myself!

Edit:Awe I went to walmart and when I came back the question about tea and milk was gone!!

HI my name Is Heather...and I'm a horseaholic. I cannot stay away from horses. i love them ...i want them...i want to read about them, watch them, surf the Internet....and answer yahoo answers all day.

I am kind-of new to horses....(first time leasing one) and love learning. There are some good questions....some bad one...and its great place to hear about other people and their love for horses.

Yeah, I feel like I've missed out on a lot of important conversation....I was visiting my folks for a week or so, and they don't have internet.  I come home and toss down the suit cases and leave them for a few weeks along with the rest of the messy house...I've got more important things to do.  It's weird how much happens when you're gone for a few weeks...there are people I've never seen before that are top contributors now!  It's a ton of fun!

I'm so addicted! I can't go an hour without wondering whats going on on here and what I'm missing! 'most' people who answer here are wonderful. I always get a good laugh and learn a thing or two while I'm at it.

It's truly a great break from the drama and stress of "real life" for me. Love you guys for it!

FUN-NEEE - Glad I'm not alone.

"I dont' have time" is a response I often find about things needing to be done, but how many hours a day do I spend here....

I've got it - we can rationalize this - we haven't the opportunity to go and actually HELP people with their horses - and we of the horse-loving sort are VERY helpful people!  Heck, why can't we make money at this?!?!?!

Yes, I'm very addicted. I was supposed to go out and see how the new horse was ten minutes ago, but I'm still here!

Same here lol. I don't rlly have anything I need to do right now, like work, but usually whenever I log on and start to answer questions, I can't stop lol.

Like one day, I had to get ready for school, and I had about an hour and a half till school started. I logged on, and then started to answer questions. It felt like 10 minutes, but it actually turned out that I had 5 minutes to get ready for school, and be there ontime! Apparently what had felt like 10 minutes was actually an hour and about 20 mins! Luckily I made it just in time lol.

H*ll I thought this IS a therapy group!! LOL!!

There are soooo many people on here that I know will help me with problems I may have, they will talk me down when things get tense, they make me laugh & the ONLY thing not theraputic are the trolls or dumbs answers UNLESS of course I am in an ornery mood & then I like to have a little fun........There again I know several on here who will join in & make it even more fun!!!!  Yes, there are times when we get WAYYYYYY off track, but it's still fun.

Sounds like the kind of therapy group I would want to be in!!!

As I have said....  My day is not done until I've horrified a complete stranger!

(or people I know, but that is much harder to do)
