Adding Memory To My Laptop

Question

I own an Acer Aspire 3002LCi, Mobile AMD Sempron Processor c2800+, 40GB, 256MB DDR. I'm not sure if that helps at all but there it is anyway.I am interested in speeding up my laptop but would like to know what kind of memory to use. I was told each computer takes a different type of memory. I would also like to increase the GB ... If that's even possible and not too expencive.ThanksErin
