Adding a 4th judge in American Idol....good idea?

Kara Elizabeth DioGuardi will be the 4th judge of American Idol, what do you think of that? Or should they just stick to 3? Explain.=]

i think its okay its not going to hurt because they have to do something new because every other show has copied off of them america's got talent, america's best dance crew with 3 judge's ever so you think you can dance. so why not have 4 judges this year h**l maybe ill tune in again like i did the first 3 season just to see what the new person says

the 3 is good. Everyone is used to the 3 judges. adding a new one at this point is pointless i think

OK first, who is that??? And second, they already tried that. They tried to add Angie Martinez in season 2 or 3, and it didn't work. She ended up quitting before auditions were even over. And then  they tried adding rotating celebrity judges and that didn't work too well either...they had difficulty being critical and didn't want to upset their fans by giving too much critique. Each of the 3 existing judges has their own well-established role, style and personality on th show. Why mess with that?
