Question:

Adding a Half Bath to my home in NY?

I am looking to take a space inside my house(no exterior expansion), and add a 1/2 Bath. I am looking at a 5x5 space, and there is currently no plumbing running to that area. How much would you estimate it would cost(not including fixtures)?

  2. 3-5 grand. The plumbing is going to cost the most. (Ask them to put the toilet in and the sink hookup). Get that estimate first. The rest is gravy. Put in a sub floor, cover it with ceramic tile or vinyl, install a mirror, a light fixture and a vent. Paint the walls and you're done. I don't know how handy you are but you could save half of that amount if you did everything but the plumbing yourself.
