Hello, I have a single cab 2004 f150 stx (old body style) and I was wondering what I need to buy in order to add my amp and sub to it and the steps that I have to take. I have enough wire and O rings and stuff like that but I don't know anything really about wiring harnesses or how to add the sub.

Steps I know to take, and know how to do.

1. Build sub box

2. put sub box in truck and attach to amp.

3. disconnect negative to battery

4. attach amp to battery.

5. attach ground to frame

6. take out stock head unit

Steps I need to know

1. After I take out stock head unit, what goes from the head unit to the amp?

2. How do I only get bass freq to the sub?

3.how do I run wires under the dash to the back of the head unit?

4. do I need to buy a wiring harness?

5. anything else I need to do?
