Adding an ip address to a port on a switch?

i have a cisco 1900 series, i know i can set a vlan but i want to set a private ip not on the same vlan and different ip class... is this possible. I only see for adding a mac to a port...

This is not possible with this model of switch. The switch needs to support the "no switchport" command which essentially changes the port from a "switch port" to a routed port

This model does not support this functionality
