A - B + C = ?

they all start from the origin

they are not connected besides the orgin

A = 44, 28 degrees east of south

B = 26.5, 56 degrees west of south

C = 31, 270 degree south

the final product is like the letter Y.

i get how to add and subtract 2 vectors but how do u do it with 3 vectors? My book doesnt show how...

i got A - B, but how do i add C with the number and the angle given

the answer is 62.6 and 329 degree but i dont know how to get it

  1. You get the X and Y components of each vector.

    Then add and subtract both the X and Y components to get the X and Y of the resultant. That is the magnitude of the answer.

    If I have time, I'll come back and do the calculations.

    PS, i don't see your problem. If you know 2+2 = 4 and that 4 - 3 = 1, then surely you can do 2+2-3 = 1

    Using + x as zero degrees

    A = 44, 28 degrees east of south

    B = 26.5, 56 degrees west of south

    C = 31, 270 degree south

    Ax = +44cos62

    Ay = -44sin62

    Bx = -26.5cos34

    By = -26.5sin34

    Cx = 0

    Cy = -31

    calculate each

    Rx = Ax - Bx + Cx

    Ry = Ay - By + Cy

    .
