Adding child name in parents passport?

Question

I m trying to add a Us born child name in parents passport. Both are having indian passport. So many time i tried Consulate people but there is no reply from them. So can anyone tell me what is the procedure. Is it possible to add a child name in parents passport?

I think you do not know the new procedure for passports, Now the children names are not added in the passport, each child regardless of age should have separate passport, Only name of  wife, father and mother are added in the passport now, so it is not possible to add children name in your or your wife's passport
