Adding dvd player to sansui model TVM2515G/B

Question

This tv is from May of 2002. I bought a dvd/video cassette player and
am unable to hook it up to the tv. I have basic cable but no 'cable
box' as of a few months ago.

The tv works fine, although it is obviously old. Is there any way to avoid buying another tv?

There is one jack for the cable and that is all. No AV in or out, etc.
