  1. Take the glow in the dark stars down.  After that, find a comforter set that matches your blue color.  I wouldn't paint anything on the walls tho.

  2. since you have already the stars then why not make your room a Parisian room , I will send you things in a few minutes ,give me some time to find them for you , are you allowed to have a mural on one wall ? let me know and I will look for something .

I found a Paris Mural I know that it's bit oler for you but the stars will look like they belong there , plus you will be able to enjoy your room for a few more years with the addition of the new bedding.

  3. You can check out these sites they might help you get the look you want to achieve to transition from childhood to the present!

  4. well take the stars down first, then...

  5. Get rid of the stars for starters. Maybe buy craft paints at the dollar store to do a design with stencils.

  6. take the stars down, get some lime or chartreuse paint and paint polka dots on the wall. Like this (these colors are too bright, maybe something lighter)

Or instead of chartreuse, you can go with either a lighter  or darker blue than the wall color, like the background of this picture:

    or go with brown:

you can do equal sized circles all over in an even pattern, or you can do random sizes and place them randomly, or a combination of colors (this style, but your chosen colors):

Then you can check bed bath and beyond or linens and things for a similar polka dot patterned comforter, or just get a plain colored comforter in the accent color.

also, you can pain your dressers or bookshelves in the accent colors as well.
