Addington 1743 penalized for playing Mohammad Amir
The local English county club Addington 1743 has been slammed by heavy penalty for included banned pacer http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Amir-c76675 from Pakistan in a match against a local team St Lukes which was played in the month of June, 2011.
According to details, the captain of the team Ijaz Raja has been awarded a ban of five matches for including Amir in the squad. It has also been learned from credible sources that the league representative of the said club Raheal http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yasir-Shafi-c98251, has also been barred
for five matches.
A statement released by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Surrey-c851 Cricket League in this regard said, “Facilitated the player breaching his ICC ban. It is considered that the club have thereby brought the game of cricket in general and in particular in this instance, the name of the SCL
into disrepute.”
It has also been disclosed that the match has been awarded to St Lukes and 20 points have been deducted from Addington.
However, the banned pacer insists that he is innocent and was assured by the officials of the tainted club that playing for them will not breach the terms of his ban from all formats of cricket.
The 19-year-old Amir, who was banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) from the game of cricket after he was found involved in spot-fixing during Pakistan’s tour of England in the summer of 2010, took four wickets by conceding nine runs and also
scored 60 runs with the bat in the local match.
His participation in the county fixture could now extend his five year ban from cricket if the ICC deems him guilty of breaching the terms and conditions of his ban.

the Lord’s Test. These accusations were levelled by now defunct British tabloid “News of the World” which provided photographic evidence revealing the involvement of the players in the crime.
