  1.    2a + 3b = -1    Multiply by 3

       3a + 5b = -2    Multiply by -2

       6a + 9b = -3

      -6a -10b = 4

    Add both equations

    -b = 1

    So b = -1

    Substitute b in one of the equations say eq 1

    So 2a + 3 (-1) = -1

    2a - 3 = -1

    2a = -1 +3

    2a = 2

    a = 1

    a = 1

    b = -1

  2. - 6a - 9b = 3

    6a + 10b = - 4------ADD

    b = - 1

    2a - 3 = - 1

    2a = 2

    a = 1

    a = 1 , b = - 1

  3. Here's a good explanation at:

    Hope this helps you!  Please email anytime for further questions.

  4. (2a+3b = -1)*-3 = -6a-9b = 3

    (3a+5b = -2)*2 = 6a+10b = -4

    add

    b = -1

    2a+3(-1)  = -1

    thus a = 1

    so a = 1 and b = -1

  5. (-3)2a+3b=-1

    (2)3a+5b=-2

    ---------------------

    -6a-9b=3

    6a+10b=-4

    -----------------

    6a and 6b canceled

    1b=-1

    b=-1/1

    you put the b's result into the 3b and the 5b and all will be almost done,i got lazy...
