Adelaide City, Seek a suitable Suburb to rent a house?

I am new immigrant to Australia and I intend to live in SA, Adelaide City. Could someone advice me on a Suburb that be quiet and surrounded by facilities (e.g. Supermarket, Bus Station...etc.)

  1. well it depends what your price range is for renting.

    the area of dulwich, rose park, toorak gardens, kent town is great because its close to lots of shops, supermarkets, lots of buses and 5 min drive into the city.

    i live in dulwich, and the average rent is $450 a week for a three bedroom house.

    its a very safe area around here too.


  2. To be honest most Adelaide suburbs fit into that description. You might like to consider the Enfield area north of the city, quite inexpensive peaceful area with a larger migrant population if you would prefer that, close to the city and heaps of shops.

    See www.realestate.com.au or www.domain.com.au for rental prices. The eastern suburbs are the most expensive, the inner southern and the western suburbs are dearer too. It depends on your budget. The far northern and southern suburbs are the cheapest.
