Adelaide Hart surges in Women’s 50m back-stroke final: Day Three – 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games
Adelaide Hart of Australia surged in the Women’s 50m back-stroke final to gain the gold medal of the sprint on the concluding day of the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in Isle of Man.
Hart impressed the aquatic arena, by winning the title of the event in, as she posted a top ranked time of 27.67 seconds. Nevertheless, the Australian also made her country proud, by sustaining her fastest qualification spot in the final round, where she
claimed the title of the event
Hart was followed by her closest competitor, Phoebe Lenderyou of England, who remained only 0.47 seconds slower than Hart and stepped on the podium for the silver medal, by submitting a time of 28.14 seconds. the 16-year-old Lenderyou was trailed by her
following swimmer, Charlotte McKenzie of Scotland, who stayed just 0.29 seconds slower than the silver medallist and reached the victory stand for the bronze medal, with a timing of 28.43 seconds.
In the meantime, Kotuku Ngawati of Australia remained only 0.18 seconds slower than her subsequent competitor, as she posted a fourth fastest time of 28.61 seconds. Charlotte Bryan of Wales emerged as the fifth position holder of the event because she was
only 0.13 seconds slower than her preceding swimmer and completed her swim in a time of 28.74 seconds.
Meanwhile, the sixth finest spot of the event was claimed by Georgia-Mae Hohmann of England, as she remained only 0.16 seconds behind her former finisher and posted a time of 28.90 seconds. Kirsten Julien of Trinidad&Tobago was the seventh position holder
of the event, as she ended her sprint in a time of 29.87 seconds. Kate Godrey was the last swimmer of the event, as she clocked a time of 30.04 seconds for the last spot of the swim.
In addition, the viewers enjoyed breath-taking efforts of all participants, while the winners were called upon the medal rostrum for their fabulous efforts in the back-stroke discipline after the completion of session.
