  1. That school may not be suitable or appropriate for you. You need a nurturing environment. What's the possibility of moving to another more condusive school in the neighbourhood?

Have a good read about ADHD from this site, and see whether the info it contains can help you get around your problem somewhat.

    Good luck.

  2. I deeply sympathize what you are going through, because I have gone through the same thing myself.  I used to be in a small room with a group of kids who I was much smarter than and this frustrated me.  I also try very hard and do not do as well as those who don't. I used to get similar grades to yours when I was trying harder than everybody (within reason). Then, My psychologist prescribed an ADHD medication, and now I can take all that extra effort and apply it.  It has really helped me and I am getting honor roll and I got choiced into a much better school by the district with all mainstream classes.

I am not suggesting that this is necessarily what you should do, but take it into consideration.  I am sure that you are trying really hard to compinsate for your disability, and if you treat the disablity itself, you will get a leg ahead by being conditioned to try as hard as you can.

Good luck and I wish you the best

  3. No, no, no, no.  Have your parents get you and IEP plan, it's an education plan.  With ADHD, you should not be stuck in one room straight.  You need frequent breaks to release some energy and help to refocus.  Your school really sucks!  I can't believe they can actually get away with that.  Your education needs to focus on you, your strengths, your weakness, etc.  You should have 1:1 for a little while, then a group setting.  Your class is still too big, you should have 8, max. Go on your state's educational web site, you are entitled to a more dignified class that will help you  with your ADHD.  That's the law!
