Adjacent wall color to go with BM Sherwood Green (HC-118)?

Hi,

I'm terrible at this, so I really appreciate your help!

I'm trying to decide on paint colors for my open floor plan living room & dining room (L-shape). The rooms share one big wall and there isn't an architural break between the rooms (this wall also has a red- brick fireplace if that helps). I've decided to paint that wall BM Sherwood Green as well as the other two walls in the dining room. What I'd like suggestions on is what color to paint the other walls in the living room. I'd like the color to be on the lighter side as one of the living room walls continues up the staircase to the upstairs hallway and the color will be carried up there as well. The hallway doesn't get any natural light so I wouldn't want it to be too dark. The trim for the living room/dining room will be white.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

-Pam

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a creamy white like "stucco" (# 7569) would look good. Or if you want something a bit brighter & more colorful, then I'd go with "lively yellow" (# 6702)

BTW, the SW colors I used that I though most closely resembled Sherwood Green were "lemongrass" (# 7732) and "renwick olive" (# 2815).

  2. do you have any gold shades in a fabric , like a pillow , sofa or drapes?

can you tell me what other colours do you have then?

    the colours below are

    Burnt peanut red 2081-10

    Concord Ivory HC-12

Late wheat cc-240  they are from Benjamin Moore

And I believe that they will work well for you .
