Adjustement of Status - Interview?

I recentely applied for AOS through marriage to a U.S. Citizen. Received a receipt form USCIS Missouri National Benefits center dated May 30th.

I would greatly appreciate if some of you who have gone through this process can answer my questions below:

* When can I expect to have my biometrics?

* How long after the biometrics do they schedule the interview?

* How long after interview can I expect to receive the conditional green card?

* What kind of questions do they ask at the interview?

* How can I prepare for it - e.g. do it need to put together some documents, pictures etc?

Thank you very much for your help!

  1. If your submitted documents were complete, in a few weeks or a month, you will receive a biometrics schedule. Then after your biometrics, within three months (maximum, sometimes, its earlier than 3 months) you will receive a letter for your schedule of interview...The interview will only take 15 to 30 minutes, make sure you have a proper documents like pictures, birth certificates, passport and noticeof approval or receipt... They will ask, about your information like names, address, name of mom/dad and how you meet your husband. they will only ask your husband, about hes job and some personal question...

Sometimes, if the documents were pretty well prepared and they dont have questions to the docus, the immigration dont need to schedule you for an interview (but biometrics still needed), they will approved it and send your green card.It happened to my friend, it pretty cool though!

Good Luck. Hope this helps...Ive done this before but I assure you'll gonna get the green card...btw, you will know the result right after your interview...green card will arrive within two weeks...

  2. Cutting through all the bs, if you are honestly married to a US citizen, there is no way (barring conviction for a felony) that you will ever be deported.  If the marriage is genuine, don't worry about it.

  3. HI , I think you are the one responsible for getting the biometrics done. You should visit uscis.gov constantly cause they have all the information you need on AOS. This is always a time sensitive matter and you should get all the info that you can so as to do it right.

At the interview, they make you take an oath that you will be honest and that all you say is true.

You need to have any document that identifies you as YOU. Birth certificate, passport, school id, bank card. Bills. You dont want to go there and have them send you back home just because you dont have a document so carry everything with you and put them in order . Dress to impress. I hope this helps and good luck.
