Question:

Adjusting draw weight?

When cranking up the draw weight on a compound bow, do you have to turn the crescent wrench in opposite directions for each limb? (For example, would I turn upward for the top limb bolt, and turn downward for the bottom limb bolt?) Hope I gave you enough info. Thanks.

  2. Both bolts will turn the same way, be sure to turn them in evenly.  Count turns and half turns until drawl weight is achieved.

  3. Both limbs turn the same way make sure you turn them evenly so that there is not to much stress on any one of the limbs.

  4. Look on top of the bolts you are describing- there will be a hole in the middle that an allen wrench will fit into- this is the best method of adjusting the draw weight-to increase the draw weight, turn to the right, about a half turn at a time until you get the desired draw weight. The best method of doing this is to actually tighten up on the adjustment of both limbs, until they both bottom out- then back off a half turn at time on each limb until you reach the desired weight. Doing it this way will help keep the bow cams in tune with each other.

  5. Both the bolts should turn the same direction. Just what ever you do, just remember that they have to be turned the same amount of times. What I done was measure the space between the middle and the limb. That is a good way of doing that. And, you can count your turns, also.
