Question:

Adjusting the joint on McDermott pool cue?

I just got a hustler/ sneaky pete style cue from McDermott and the wood grains do not match up (2 really dark lines of grain run up the side of the cue and then break off and dont match up and it looks obvious). I sent them a message but they are taking their sweet candy *** time getting back to me on it. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for them to adjust or turn the joint in the shaft or butt a little so that when screwed in completely it matches up.

  1. Sticks are not made from 1 peice of wood then cut & jointed

They are even most often diffrent types of wood

They do not match the grain from butt to shaft

If that is what you are talking about

  2. Yeah that would be pretty hard to do for the reasons johnny said.  I do know from experience the customer service at McDermott isn't what it once was, so good luck with them.

  3. if you are not happy with your purchase contact the billiard shop you purchased it from...quite easy...unless ya got it cheaper thru the internet, then ya got what ya paid for...
