Question:

Adjusting to new place?

Has anyone here ever moved to a bigger, nicer place, and missed your old place? I'm not even talking about living away from people you know (new place is only a few miles away from the old).. Is it strange to miss your old house/apartment even though you really like the new place?

  1. CUZ UR USED TO THE OTHER PLACE AND NOW GOTTA GET USED TO NEW PEOPLE /SURROUNDINGS/ SCENERY.. IT SUCKS BUT GOTTA DO IT.

  2. Its psychological. Maybe its you thinking its too good to be true, or something. You're more comfortable in your smaller (not as nice) place, because it was comfortable. Its like moving positions in your workplace. Maybe you don't think you can do sales, but you move in and do good, but it feels weird because its something you never dreamed of.

I personally think its a little weird, since you aren't but a few miles away, but it does make sense. You get used to things, and they're hard to let go. :) Bad or good.

  3. It isn't strange at all! I have moved from tiny crappy apartments to nice bigger houses/apts and I really missed the small crummy apartment! It was your home for aa good amount of time, all your memories lie in that home, a section of your life happened in that home. It is completely normal to miss your old place, no matter how big/small it is! Don't worry, it will pass soon, and this new place will start to feel more and more like your home, instead of just a house! It is totally normal though! GL! :)
