Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper, Rene Adler has expressed his desire to one day keep the goal for Premier League giants, Manchester United.
The 26-year old German has been in great form for Leverkusen and it is a known fact that he has turned down a contract extension negotiation till the end of the season.
Currently, Manchester United are also looking for a goalkeeper as Edwin van Der Sar is 40 now and it is for sure that the vastly experienced Dutchman will put an end to his glittering career after the end of this season. Although Manchester United have good
keepers like Kuzscak and the new signing, Lindegaard, Ferguson, who is known to avoid the risk of using inexperienced keepers right from the start, is already very carefully following a few keepers in Europe.
Adler will be out of contract with Bayern Leverkusen when the current season ends and the German keeper wishes to move on after it. He said that he has always dreamt about playing for Manchester United. He also mentioned that the Leverkusen board is aware
of the special clause in his contact, but he didn’t disclose the details of the clause.
Adler is a big fan of former Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel and said that the Dane was the main reason why he wanted to become a goalkeeper.
