Admin. asst. meeting ideas?

Question

my boss is holding a luncheon for myself and other coordinators in the hospital where i work. none of us have ever really met and all our superiors will be eating with us. the purpose is to put faces with names because were always e-mailing and it would be nice to actually know who they are. does any one have some ideas of things we could do to keep the lunch light and enjoyable.. ie. no awkward silences?

that's tough but have everyone describe themselves- - go first to se the example of what to say- be descriptive- so that hopefully someone has something in common with someone else when you are done going round the circle- then smaller conversations will spur up- hopefully- it is a friday- people may be tired and just willing to sit there- ask people about their plans for the weekend- don't worry it should go just fine
