Administrative problems?

i have tried to do numerous things on my computer that involve having administative priviliges and it won't let me

i AM an administrator

so i'm confused as to what i need to do

What are you trying to do?  What operating system do you have?  Is this your own comptuer or a work/school provided computer?

This happend to me at one point. I just replaced my computer since I could not fix the problem for almost over a year. I can tell you how it may have happend but I do not know, up until today, how to fix this. The problem is that you may have had 2 accounts at one point and deleted the adminstrator account, therefore, resulting in a confusion in the system and that is the end of that. You can just try to reboot your computer back to factory setting and that will fix the problem (just thought of that now, haha)...but that is the only way that i know.
