Someone once said that others admire people who are shy. I'm very shy and always see the negative side of it.

Someone help me -- what could be admirable about shyness?

  1. I have never admired shy people because I feel like its important to say what you think.  However, I'm sure people wish that I would STFU at times!

  2. I don't know it there is an admiration for it. But in a guy liking girl point of veiw, maybe a guy could help a girl, who would normally be shy, go to a party and give her a good time. Like helping an injured animal get better. Give her sympathy and help her become social

  3. * Because you are shy, you're probably a great listener!

    *You're probably empathetic with others.

*You probably are sensitive to others, because you sympathize with others.

*A lot of times shy people are very caring.

*And last but not least, a person can decrease their level of shyness by being around people.

*Know that you were put on this earth to shine.  YOu have something special to offer to others.  Share your gift to the world.  It's waiting for you.

  4. Just because you are shy doesn't mean you are any better or worse than out-going people, you just have a different way of viewing the world, usually through thought, intelligence, focus, & patience, & by observing instead of acting out.Shy people possess the ability to observe what's going on around them, to actually listen, instead of mouthing off like a lot of ******* out there. Shy people tend to be deep thinkers, introspective, thoughtful, more sympathetic to others, & more in tune with the world around them because they aren't always running around like brain-dead idiots...

Besides, the world would suck hard if everyone was the same, with the same type personalities. So we need shy people to complement the social people, like night and day, "yin" and "yang"!

SHY PEOPLE OF THE WORLD UNITE..! lol :)

  5. I had a friend in college who was the most incredibly shy person I had ever met. She was also the most thoughtful. She spent more time than anyone I had ever met....just to make certain that she said what she truly meant to say. Usually it was just the thing I needed to hear. I find that, generally speaking of course, that people who are shy tend to be more thoughtful, in that they don't just blurt out everything that comes to mind. I work with someone who seems to not be physically capable of shutting up....I would certainly appreciate it if she thought about what she had to say before dumping it out on everyone!

  6. well i guess one admirable aspect is that you aren't going crazy trying to be center of attention. and shy people aren't really ever obnoxious. i dunno there's lots of good qualities i spose!
