Admission for Chinese Lantern Festival from CNE?

I checked out the website for the Chinese Lantern Festival and tix are $25/ea. But if you are already at the EX, then do you have to pay again? I think EX tickets gets you into Ontario Place, but don't know about the lantern festival. Thanks!!!

It is my understanding that you need to pay for entrance to the Chinese Lantern Festival even if you purchased entrance to the CNE.

When my wife and I went in 2007, we walked across the CNE grounds, crossed the bridge over the Lake Shore and then had to pay at the entrance to the Chinese Lantern Festival grounds.
