Admission in US Universities after AS Level ?

I have done my ICSE 10th Grade in India and am doing my AS Level now. I have heard that one can get admission in US Universities after giving AS Levels and SAT and not all universities need "A Level". Is this true ?

If yes, please name a couple of them as I need to take admission in less than a month.

And should I contact Universities like Carnegie Mellon University, University of Texas - Austin, etc. Because AS/A Level is not mentioned in Admission Requirements.

You can apply after AS, but most universities would recommend that you take your A-levels first. And the chances of admission after AS are probably a lot lower, unless you are a whiz kid or brilliant beyond your age in the subject that you hope to pursue.
