Adobe CS3. Is there a way to adjust anchor points after useing the lasso tool?

After I complete tracing an object, I HAVE to close the selection and after I do that, it turns into "Marching ants". I need to know how to adjust the anchor points after I close the selection. Any help is appreciated.

After it's that far, best you can do is add and subtract from the selection using other selection tools. Use the ALT button, or just change the selection style in the upper left hand corner to do this.

Generally, I use the pen tool to make a selection when I need something that is complex, and requires a great deal of accuracy. Might be worth looking in to.
