Adobe Illustrator help? how do you make text tighter, like closer together

lol i cant seem to find the character panel?

Select the range of characters or the type object that you want to adjust.

In the Character panel, set the Tracking option

its the one in lower right corner of char panel that has the AV with the line under it

You adjust the tracking and the kerning to move either single characters or groups of characters closer together.

Answer 3

First make text box or click and write the text. If you cant find the character window just type in keyboard Ctrl+t or Window>Type>character and set the tracking for the selected character to make closer.
