Adobe Photoshop CS3 Cut Tool...help?

I just download the Adobe Photoshop CS3 as some people mentioned it to be one of the best photo modification programs. So, I cant find the cut/slicing tool. dunno how it is called. Is there one? Where is it then? Can I cut any part of a photo as I want? Help!

ah. See, photoshop IS one of the best photo modification programs out there. But it is NOT a open and go type application. There is very many things to learn and it's not something most people can just jump into and use. Unless they have used photo programs like this before. This is why people (like myself) take courses and classes on how to learn the program.

What are you cutting the images for? Do you just want to remove parts of the image? Use your lasso tool. Or the Magnetic Laso tool (that's fun). But you will need to create a layer. Your first layer of the picture will be locked and will not allow you to manipulate.

You really should use the tutorials for the program. Or maybe go to the adobe tutorial website.
