Adobe elements 6

Question

I am trying to install Adobe Elements 6
Steps:
Insert disc into the drive.
No Auto start takes place.
Go to folder dbl Click on the setup Icon
Install wizard starts the installation

First pass to install the objecst into the directory complete
(All objects now in ProgramFiles folder)

Second pass, the actual installation
Progress bar displays install upto 30% (+/-)
The system then hangs for about 5 min
Then an Error Message box displays
ERROR: 1305 - can't complete the installation
cancel the installation.
Note:
This is a genuine product purchase through Amazon.
There is also not a space issue as this is a new PC

Have you any idea what the problem is ?
