Adolf Hitler: Good or Bad?

Who thinks Hitler is like totally the worst dictator ever? I had to read a biography of his life and I really think he was so mean and like the worst person ever lived!!!

Good ol adolph was perhaps the freatest-most influential dictator of the 20th century. (please keep in mind that all dictators are bad).

He showed us what a determined individual could do, grow up to overthrow a proper government, get the general populace to believe a bunch of paranoid lies, justify the massacre of nearly entire ethnic minority populations, create a nationalistic fervor all in the name of rebuilding a once great nation. truly manipulative paranoid freak that he was, hitlers regime brought us a technical evolution of how we fight wars in modern times. his scientists created jet engines, & were near to a breakthrough on atomic bombs (if we had not stolen/rescued so many east european scientists, we would be speaking german or japanes right now)

Hitler taught the world to be on the lookout for meglomaniacal freaks!

Ever?  There are quite a few bad boys out there.  Not to appear to be on his side, he was nasty, but there are two good things you can say about Hitler:

He fought against Josef Stalin, who was just as evil and brutal, if not more so



and

He promoted the construction of the autobahn, which served as the model for our interstate highway system.  A high-speed, high-quality border to border road system helped this country grow west at a phenomenal rate after WWII.

Hitler was a monster. He projected all of his and his nations problems onto groups of people and had them killed. He absorbed antisemitism and other racist ideals to deal with his problems and turned it into a national directive/policy.

Usually I think there is nothing of pure white or pure black. There are always shades of gray. But with Hitler I'd say there there is a person who was so dark that nothing could light his presence.

Some people might say that Hitler and his regime were also the reason for some good inventions and other good things. But that's like loosing a foot and saying "Oh, it's not only bad that I lost a foot. Now my socks last twice as long."

I don't think anyone in their right mind would say he was good...

So, bad.

But I do admire his nerve.

Not a lot of people can almost take over Europe and kill so many people along the way.
