Adolfo Cambiaso is a legendary polo star from Argentina, who is definitely one of the best players of the World. Adolfo during his more than two decade-long polo career is acknowledged as the “Best Polo Player” in the World, who had achieved 10-goal handicap
at the age of 19.

From an extremely young age, the fabled, Adolfo started polo and by the time he was 12 years old he achieved his first goal-handicap. After one year at the age of 13, Adolfo won the Eduardo Heguy Cup with a 3-goal handicap playing under the supervision of
his father, who was also four-goal handicap player, for the La Martina team.
He attained 6-goal handicap in 1989 playing for La Martina and San Diego, where he succeeded in the Campana Del Desierto Cup and Renault Cup Open.
He won as many as 24 tournaments within a short span of time from 1990 to 1994 playing for different teams. The legendary polo player had won the Gold Cup and Warwickshire Cup held in England in 1991 besides wining the Renault Cup Open, the Camara De Diputados
Cup and the El GrAfico Cup in Argentina.
He jumped to a 7-goal handicap by the end of these tournaments. In 1992, Adolfo Cambiaso set a record of 16 goals playing for Ellerstina squad, which is the highest score in one match in the history of Polo.
The year of 1994 was the luckiest for Adolfo Cambiaso. His team, Ellerstina, won many titles including Triple Crown, the Abierto De Hurlingham, Abierto Argentino De Palermo and Abierto De Tortugas. The legendary horse rider won the title of ‘Triple Corona’
and was promoted to 10-goal handicap, when he was only nineteen, which has been an unbreakable record in polo so far.
Cambiaso in the next four years won some 31 tournaments including the 1995 World Cup in United States, the Copa Republica Argentina in 1996, the Queen Cup and Prince of Wales Trophy in England in 1998 and 1999 respectively. His team also succeeded in the
US Open in 1999, the Copa De Oro and Copa De Plata in Spain.
Adolfo Cambiaso founded his own polo team named La Dolfina in 1997, which won the Argentina Open five times, the Triple Crown series of the country. Lucas Montevarde and Marineno Agere were also joined in the team of Adolfo, which is the only polo squad
of the World where every player in the team has a ten-goal handicap.
The successes of La Dolfina polo team were continued, which had been succeeded in Argentine Open consecutively three times in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Adolfo also used to play for other teams across the globe and won several championships. He took part in Middle
East for the first time in the opening session of Desert Palm Nations Cup in 2009, while he became captain of US Crab Orchard and won USPA Gold Cup and US Open. He won the MVP award as a best scorer in 2010 Gold Cup, held in Dubai.
Adolfo Cambiaso had won all major tournaments of the World including US Open, Gold Cup US, Argentine Open, World Cup of the America, Hurlingham Open, Silver Cup-Spain, Gold Cup-UK, Queens Cup-UK, Golden Cup-Spain, Inidios Open, Tortuges Open, Metropolitano
Alto and Piler Open, Jockey Club, Players Open and Royal Paheng.
Among the legendary polo player’s famous horse were Ilusion, Lili, La Osa, Sospachosa and most favourite Colebri, while his Stallion Aiken Cura was also one of the best polo horses in the World.
The fabled player can hold the ball and hit it at the same time from a great distance for definite goals. His passion towards the game, heretical approach and his leading capability changed the method of the sport. Adolfo Cambiaso feels pleasure scoring
