  1. You cant put yourself up for adoption. Your parents have to release you to the state,

  2. Amosunkn has it right.  13 is a very tough age, and it is probably common for relationships between kids and parents to go south during this time.  That was a pretty rough time with me, and we've got a 13 year old daughter that might like to join you.  You have to remember that they love you and need to keep you safe and disciplined, because before you know it, you'll be on your own, and out from under their protection.  The world is a very tough place-- please don't thrust yourself into it prematurely.  Try and work with them.  Here's a thought if you haven't done so already, work on a daily routine-- go to bed at a reasonable hour so that you can get yourself up in plenty of time for school.  Make your bed, keep your room picked up, work on your homework when you get home, be good to your siblings if you have them, and see if there are other things you can do around the house to help your folks.  Things like dishes, yardwork, whatever.  See if you can build momentum in these things just to see if perchance they might stop asking you to do things.

Yes I probably sound just like your folks... but try it, and see what happens!  :)

  3. You cant put yourself up for adoption. Your parents have to release you to the state, or the state has to revoke their rights to parent you.

Call CPS and tell them about your concerns.

  4. been there done that. you're just going through being a teenager..trust me. my parents were//still are uptight and gahhh. if i dont get straight a's and am not always mvp for bball..grr and if i dont make varsity bball freshman year they will freak. hunny, you are just going through being a teen. yes, you think your parents hate you and only are there to wreck your life. your parents probably don't really notice they're doing this..maybe you're pushing them away? try doing something extreme..to get their attention.

p.s- maybe get some family counseling.

  5. ...that explains the screen name!

  6. I went through that with my own family. I felt isolated from the rest of the world,-  friends of my mother's weren't the kind you could confide in so I chose to talk to the guy that I was planning on spending the rest of my life with. (only he forgot to mention he had other plans).  All he could offer me was "you're not very fary from your 18th birthday and then you can get out of their hair." Imagine my annoyance! I wanted to work things out with my family, make a connection. not walk away. But you know, more than a decade later, I realised sometimes the most you can make out of a situation is far from ideal, but in the long run it teaches you a lot about  yourself and those around you.

Like the song says; "if I had to do it all again, I wouldnt take away the rain cause I know it made me who I am." It still hurts like a bi**h, but Ifind consolation in knowing that I have learnt a lot from my mistakes nd my family's as opposed to a few of my friends who had a perfect enough upbringing so were not prepared for the rude awakening that awaited them outside their cottonwool family homes.

Just make sure you've done all you really can with this situation so you wont find yourself lugging around excess guilt as well as  pain later on. Pray and mediate long and hard on this before you make your decisions :-)
