  1. there are such things as a private/ open adoption.  i put my daughter up that way.. and you don't have to worry about any agencys.  look at  www.adoption.com  that is a very nice site, and also has a chatroom.

  2. The lesser of two evils - I guess an agency  The best choice would be social services and adopt a waiting child from foster care, but you didn't give that as an option, sadly

Attornies are purely in it for the money and no counselling is required to take place, as far as I know

  3. Ask questions to others who have used the adoption agency or attorney you are inquiring of.

If an adoption agency has poeple who are satified with the work they have done these poeple will most liely speak up more so if they had a negative expereince.

Pull poeplep out of range and get their true feelings not what others want you to hear.

I often had said read and educate yourself about the entire process. It truly is the only way to porceed.

  4. I am an adoptive mother. Check out my website, I go into the distinct differences between your adoption options. Might help give you some direction.

  5. Go through your local adoption agency within the country.  There are no outrageous costs involved and it is where you will find the neediest children.  Agencies and attorneys have bad reps of not caring at all about who the child is being placed with and all children needing a good home deserve to be placed with a family who will love them and treat them well.  The county adoption service does their best to ensure that.
