Adopting lil cuzo?

IF I ever decided to adopt my lil cousin..

I was wondering if I could right at 18

see, I don't like the way she's being raised

she's close to being expelled and gets bad grades and her dad doesn't do anything.

She was suspended for cussing out a teacher and dad still doesn't do anything. Her Grandma is like mentally abusive I think and she goes to a bad school.

I KNOW if I asked her she would want to live with me. But I wonder if there was a way to get her to live with me the legal way..so like, she could go to any school that I lived by instead of her run down gang banging crappy school..they have bad education.

Right now she lives in the U.S. but if she ever goes back to Asia is there a way I can adopt her from there or something? Whatever just give me ideas..

In order for her to be adopted by you, either her parents would need to give up their parental rights to her and choose you to adopt her, or their parental rights would need to be taken away (only if they were declared unfit parents). It sounds like you two are fairly close in age, you are very young yourself, and especially if she is having behavior issues, it is unlikely that family services would view you as a good canidate for becoming her mother.

If she is in an abusive situation, then definetly contact CPS, however, you will probably not get costudy.

actually depending on your state, it may or may not be okay. But regardless of anything you have to be financially stable and be able to prove just off your lifestyle and habits whether or not u can raise a child. But in the mean time, just try and spend a lot of time with her and talk to her on a regular basis

My aunt adopded a baby from Asia and she was only 19 so i think you can and maybe call over there and talk too her a bit.

In most states you have to be 21 to adopt and a steady household environment and a steady income not to mention room in your house or apartment for the child/children you wish to adopt.
