  1. I think a great resource is www.adoption.com.  They have waiting children photolistings as well as state laws on how to adopt in your area.  Hope that helps!  :)

  2. I would go to Google and type in adoption and work from there.  (I have actually done so).

Some of the sites that have worked for me, are:

http://www.CWA.org (the Adoption Agency we intend to use)

http://travel.state.gov/family/adoption/... (this is about China adoption, but you can click on other countries)

If I were interested in domestic adoption, I would probably look for adoption attorneys in my state.  They can provide you with information regarding the laws in your state (they can vary greatly from state to state).

If you are interested in adoption through Foster Care, I would visit your state Department of Social Services website, or a site such as http://www.AdoptUSKids.org .

Forums such as groups at Yahoo! or MSN, or message boards such as those at Baby Center or iVillage may be helpful, as they have some that are specifically for adoption.  You can find general websites and forums about adoption, or ones specific to the type of adoption you want.

Without knowing the kind of adoption you wish to pursue, I can not be more detailed.

  3. maybe you can go to hospital websites and you can see all the babies that need to be adopted

  4. If you want to adopt from the foster system, call your local children's services office to find out how to get certified to adopt through them.  You can also visit http://www.adoptuskids.org and look at photolistings.

If you want to adopt privately/domestically, you can look for an agency or attorney who can help you with that.

If you want to adopt internationally, you can go to the State Department's website for info about specific countries

    http://travel.state.gov/family/adoption/...

and then do a Google search for agencies that have programs in that country.

  5. adoption.com is a great site with lots of general info regarding adoption (such as adoption laws by state for example).  I adopted through American Adoptions 18 months ago and had a great experience!  Their website is americanadoptions.com.  Good luck, while the adoption process can be frigtening, draining, crazy and exciting, it ends with the most wonderful gift anyone could ever hope to receive!!

  6. http://www.AdoptUSKids.org . i hope it helps x

  7. adoption.com

  8. Here are the most comprehensive:

    adoption.org

    adoption.com

    abcadoption.com

    about.adoption.com

But here is one of my favorites:

    PACT Adoption Alliance

And you might also want to go to the Donaldson Institute website for all the research on adoption:

    http://www.adoptioninstitute.org/index.p...

    Good luck!!

  9. check your state's adoption website.  you should consider this as an option worth considering. i'm amazed at how much support my state gives to parents who are working with them.

    good luck!
