Adoption.How much in Kennewick Washington are foster-care parents paid?

I know somebody in foster care and just does not seem like some of thier basic needs are being meant but the other parts of family seem well provide for. So just want to know is really enough to provide for child or not. How much money a month anybody know?

  1. CPS would be able to better answer it for you. The amount foster parents are paid depends on what type of foster care it is, the needs of the child(medical, etc.), etc. It depends on each child and each family.


  2. It depends on the age of the child and what kinds of special needs might be present.

    As of 2005, foster parents were receiving:

    Child 0-5 = $365.98/mo

    Child 6-11 = $446.23/mo

    Child 12+ = $520.00/mo

    This is to cover room and board as well as clothing and incidentals.

    The sad thing is that people pay more to board their pets while on vacation than is paid to provide loving care for a foster child.

  3. I live in South Dakota, so I can only speak for SD.  

    We are paid $14.98 dollars a day for babies through preteens.  I am not sure what foster parents of teens get paid, I am pretty sure it is $21.something.  As far as I am concerned it covers needs, but barely.  

    It is not a money making situation, that is for sure!
