I am just looking for advice or a good attorney in the Sacramento , Ca area. I have already been through enough and I am desperate to know what way I need to go in. I have things that were not done right in my adoption and my life was threaten if I did not go through with it. So please no mean comments.

  1. Pick up your phone book, look under "lawyers" in the yellow pages and start calling around.  You can tell them very quickly what your circumstances are and they can tell you if they can help (and how much it will cost).  You can then go in for your first consultation.  Some lawyers offer free consultations and others charge.  Good luck.

  2. Your local Department of Children and Families should have a list of lawyers experienced in adoption law. If not, call your State Bar Association.  They cannot recommend a particular lawyer, but they can give you a list of lawyers who indicate that they deal with adoption issues.

  3. Please if you find someone let me know.  I am also in Sacramento and having the same problem - RAD is the reason.  Email me if you want moral support.  My heart is breaking.

  4. judging by some answers Sacramento is not the place to be , you sound very desperate and there seems to be a lot of help in your answers, i just want to wish you all the best and hope you are able to resolve it all   ...
