  1. How  wonderful for you and your family!  It's sooo exciting.

I adopted two children from Korea and everyday I look at them and I am so thankful I had a second chance at becoming a Mom!!!

Everyone always says "they are so lucky" -- my answer to them is -- I'm the Lucky one!!!  These children came from across the world and they are MY children.

To think - people say there is no God -- go figure!

Good Luck to you - Big Sis - and your family!

  2. ok i was adopted cuz my mom and dad lost their parental rights and im happy cuz i got my grandparents. they adopted me.

  3. Congratulations, big sis!  I am the Mommy of a beautiful little girl who was adopted from Taiwan (right near China) who also was born with a cleft lip/palate.  Good Luck to your family and feel free to email if you want more specific information.

  4. Congrats Sis!  How exciting!

We didn't adopt from China, but we have friends who have adopted from China and also Guatemala.

    Good luck to you!

  5. Good luck getting any answers. Anyone with a happy adoption story will just be bashed for sharing it and told that their child is just hiding their "real" feelings about their adoption.

we've been blessed through adoption and I think it's great that someone of your age is trying to educate themself.

    Good luck

  6. It's wonderful that you have a positive outlook about your adoptive sister coming home.  Sometimes children are jealous about the addition of a new sibling so I think it's great that you are so excited.

I am the adoptive mother to two boys from Russia.  We've been together for just over a year, and it's been the best year of my life.  I am so happy they are in my life and wonder every day what I did to be blessed with these little miracles.  I must have done something good (now I wish I could find out what that was, LOL!).

  7. Well, I adopted two kids in China. Does that count? [LOL]

My older daughter is now 11 years old and my younger daughter is now 6. We adopted each of them when they were under 1 year of age.

They are great kids and my life is so much richer because I adopted them.

Congratulations on your new sister! I'll bet you'll be a great big sister!

  8. Here are oodles of adoption stories from those that have been adopted - and are now adults - adoptees

You will find stories of those that were adopted within their own country - and those that were adopted from overseas.

    All the best.

  9. God Bless your family for adopting a handicap child most people what a perfect child. Why my heart goes out to you is my daughter was born with a cleft/plalate and was hard of hearing (we latter learned she has tunner syrodrome) anyway she is the most wonderful child anyone could ever have. Went through years of speech and other health problems but she always had a smile on her face. Today my daughter lives in dorm 30 miles away in college on her way to becoming a nurse(she comes home everyweekend) I could go on and on about my wonderful, special daughter'

But to get on with this all i have to say Thank God for people like you that want to make a difference in a childs like.
