  1. You said "hopefully not" when commenting about adoption. If that's how you feel, please don't adopt. Your child shouldn't be a consolation prize because you couldn't get pregnant.

  2. It's next to impossible to adopt a newborn in Australia - as it's about family preservation down here.

I second the above posters - please deal with any infertility issues before ever considering adoption.

Adoptees can not fill the hole of a missing bio child - they will never be able to live up to those expectations.

Do look into foster care - as many children have their parental rights taken away - and these are the kids that really need a loving home. Adoption is an option through this route.

Edited to add:  all adoptions in Australia are handled by your local state government. If you require further info - I'd suggest googling 'adoption & your state' - and get in touch with the applicable department.

  3. I would suggest that you start buying as many books as possible and perhaps trying alternative methods to increasing your fertility

Because Australia only has less than 500 adoption a year and not many newborns at all.

So your chances are very very very low for adoption as well,

Australia is how it should be , about family preservation

I wish you the best of luck in getting pregnant. Email me if you want some guidelines to help you and dependent what state you are in I can put you in touch with a fantastic Fertility Clinic with high success rates

ETA ah I didn't really click on the *hopefully not* comment , the poster below me is right, please don't adopt as a consolation :(  your subconscious will bring that through to a adopted child should you go that route
