  1. www.adopteerights.net click on searching.

Find the state that your adoption was finalize in and you can request non identifying infromation on your surrendering parents.

You can then pursue your adoption frm there.

  2. depends on what state you are in.

  3. Contact the agency you were adopted from.  If it is not a closed file, they will be able to give you info.

My advice to you if you find out your parents names before you try to contact them is to look up court documents regarding them.  Just go on the county coarthouse website they live near and tipe in there names.  This is public info and you need to be worned if your parents have drug or alcohol problems, or if they are con artists.  Remember that you dont know them and they may try to manipulate you.  Good luck.

  4. If your parents adopted you from foster care they have to have the Declaration of Adoption filed with the court.  In this paperwork will be the names of your birth parents.

  5. You should start with your adoptive parents, they should have court paperwork with their names on them...
