My niece, who is 19 years is due to have a child within a month. She lives in another country and wants to give up her child for adoption. How do I contact adoption agencies so that she can have the child adopted here by an American?

  1. If your niece is unable or unwilling to be a parent, then I believe that the next best option is for the child to be placed with family.

I would check out the US state department website for the adoption procedures of the country in question.  They will list an adoption authority for that country, including contact information.  Speak to the adoption authority and ask about kinship-intercountry adoption policies and procedures.

    Best of luck.

  2. I believe she'd have to contact an agency and let her wishes be known.
