Adoption of baby gir in india?

i want to know whats the process of adopting a baby girl in tamil nadu-india... can anyone recommend any good center to contact

Are you in India now? Or, are you living the US?

The process for adopting as a NRI has changed over the past few years. It used to run quickly and smoothly, but has since become riddled with paperwork. If in US it's best to contact a few local agencies and inquire. I just did a google search and a search of the yellow pages. You can find out about the process and time delays and the documents/fees you'll need.

If in India it depends on where you are in TN. Are you near Chennai or Madrai or Banglore? Does it matter if you need to travel?

Your best option would be to contact CARA and ask them about good adoption agencies where you live. Chances are, you will need to go through something like homestudy regardless of your home location. The adoption agency should be able to recommend someone near you.
