  10. Adoption. Let someone prepared to handle the baby take over the responsiblity. This is not a time to think of yourself.

  11. You probably shouldn't make that decision until you're further along.  It won't hurt to check out the process of adoption, though!

  12. I would not give up my child for anything IT IS your baby.Keep him or her and get some help there are agencies that help mothers with kids.

  13. Keep

  14. I don't think you're going to know until you give birth.  I had planned on adoption, I even had PAP's and changed my mind in the hospital.

  15. How are people even providing answers when we don't know the circumstances?  Help us help you...  give us details...

  16. It depends on you and the child.. i have been there.... and i decided to choose what was going to be BEST FOR ME AND THE CHILD... you can not listen to other people.. this is a decision you have to live with for the rest of your life.. its been over 2 years and not one day goes by that i regret my decision.. you have you have to think about both futures... yours and the babys.. dont listen to anyone else.. you know whats best.. you will make the right decision.. this will be the most motherly decision you will make in you life.. and know that you and only you will live with it in the end.. my love is with you.. i PLACED my child up for adoption and he is in the most loving home.. i am continuing my college career and know that what i did was best for me and him... every situation is different..

  17. Depends on the situation. I personally couldnt have given my kids up for adoption, but Ive seen situations where it was better for the child to be given up.

  18. Well, considering the things I have recently learned from adoptees, I would say that unless there is a truly genuine issue of safety for the child, then adoption should not be chosen.  There is so much trauma that adopted children live with (and first moms as well, even if they don't realize it at the time), that it can only be justified if the safety of the child is at stake.  Convenience, embarassment, even financial struggles should not be the reason for adoption.

  19. Depends on your situation.  What do you have to offer the child?  Are you mature enough and capable right now of providing the love and attention that a child needs?  Are you emotionally ready for this?

You need to take responsibility for that child you are going to have and that means providing a capable and loving home for him or her.  If that can be done without adoption, keep the child.  If that is beyond your capabilites right now, place the child with a family that is ready.

Placing a child with an adoptive family is not being selfish, it's being loving.  When I was pregnant with my son, I was not emotionally capable of raising a child and being a single parent.  It would have been selfish of me to keep him because he deserved a better life than I was capable of providing at that time.  12 years later, I have a 2 year old daughter that is the center of my world and thriving.

Just take an honest look at yourself and your situation and think about how that will affect the child.  Whichever choice you make, it will be the right one.

    Good luck!  :-)

  20. Totally depends on if you are in the situation to raise a child and if you are able to provide, a safe, loving, home.  It is a personal thing that only the mother can decide.

  21. As an adoptee - I would NEVER put my own child through what I have lived through.

I had a wonderful a-family - but I missed growing up with my bio family - the family I looked like - the family I acted like.

    My entire life felt wrong.

Unless you are an actual danger to your child - you should fight to keep and look after your child.

Know your rights. Don't let anyone pressure you.

  22. There is only one person that can answer the question it you(or the person that is pregnant)

Adoption is great for some people.  It is the right thing to do

Adoption is bad for others, they never get over it

They only person that know for sure, is the person that is pregant

  23. You are the only person that can decide the right answer to this question.    The first thing you should do is seek counseling.   You need to learn about all your options, the advantages and disadvantages of each.  Then, you need to weigh this information with your present circumstances.    The answer is probably going to be different if your in school or done with school;  fifteen years old or nineteen years old.

Just remember that the choice is YOURS and no one else's.  You have to do what you think makes the most sense for you and your baby.
