  1. Hi, I will send you an Email. There are lots of different roads to adoption. I will be happy to help you navigate them.

  2. From the adoptee's perspective, a word of caution...

Be sure to deal with whatever grief and loss you feel over your infertility before you adopt.  Adoption is not a cure for infertility.  (And I'm not saying you think of it that way.  Just a word of caution.)

Some books for you to read to get you started...

    * "Being Adopted: The Lifelong Search for Self" by Brodzinsky, Schecter, and Henig

    * "Journey of the Adopted Self" by Betty Jean Lifton

    * "The Primal Wound" by Nancy Verrier

  3. I'm all for adoption but just make sure if you decide to do so be responsible and careful. Too many people are adopting children from 3rd world countries that come from poverty stricken but loving homes. The real "orphans" are not being adopted because they are not toddlers or newborns or may not be "perfect".  Facilitators are lying and/or forcing illiterate young couples to give up their children or families to sell away 1 or 2.  In Guatemala many parents are fighting with the gov't because they want their babies back from US families. One facilitator and his family was recently killed there by a village of 200 people for lying and saying it was temporary until they could find work. Good luck and best wishes with adopting a homeless or unwanted child in need.

  4. I suggest you contact an agency and try that. Most people wouldn't be willing to contact over email because that is a little bit scary, and because of all the black markets with selling children. You should find a local adoption agency/foster care agency and see if they can help you.

    :)

  5. you should contact an adoption agency who will go through the details, but its not to be gone into lightly as you must already know.  Me and my older sister were adopted as babies (we are not natural sisters) i am now 39 and have no intention of finding my natural mother where as my older sister has found her natural mother which has devastated my mum. So it can bring joy aswell as heartache.
