Adoption???

i was born in russia and then adopted at 9months

and now live in pa

so did i technically live in russia?

Yup.  If you were born in Russia, you were definitely there.  

But there are two possibilities regarding your adoption.  You were born in Russia and lived in Russia for 9 months.  

Then your parents  went over to Russia and picked you up and bought you to the US.  

Or the other possibly is that you were born in Russia and your birth parents came to the US and then at 9 months old, placed you up for adoption.  And your parents (now) adopted you here in the US.

Ask your parents.  They can tell you the details.
