http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 side during the imminent clash, beginning today at Mirpur.
The West Indian side is scheduled to meet Bangladeshis in a one-off T20 international, three One-dayers and a couple of Tests. The battle will kick off with the only T20 game at Mirpur on October 11, 2011.
Despite the fact that the Windies failed to produce good results in the recent ODI and Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, Barath is optimistic that the Caribbean Kings will come out with a great performance and defeat the Bengali Tigers at their backyard.
He argued that the players are well prepared for the battle after playing competitive T20 cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and Champions League Twenty20.
"It was good to be playing competitive cricket in the build-up. Most of the other players were in England for the Twenty20s and then at the camp in Dubai, so we all have some good cricket under our belts. Preparation is the key if you hope to be successful
at international level, that's why we have been working so hard and in the build-up to this series," said Barath who made his way into the national side as a replacement for the axed opener, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221.
The two teams met each other last time in a group match of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011, when the Tigers collapsed on a paltry 58.
Yet, Barath believes that it will entirely be a different ball-game this time, as the home side is starving for success after suffering a defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045.
The young Bangladesh side will step into the battle under the leadership of new skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shakib-Al-Hasan-c2492.
The Ex Bangladeshi skipper is also hopeful of doing well, reasoning that he has been relaxed after leaving captaincy.
"Yes, I'm very relaxed. I can think more about myself. I think I'm quite fresh, I'm more focused on the game," shared the former Bangladeshi skipper who captained the side in nine Tests and 47 ODIs during his stint.
