Adrian Dziolko stuns Iztok Utrosa in Men’s Singles semi-final at Turkiye International 2012
Poland’s upcoming player Adrian Dziolko displayed his marvellous skills and stormed into Men’s Singles final after defeating his higher ranked challenger Iztok Utrosa of Slovenia in semi-final clash at Turkiye International 2012 on Friday, December 21, in
Turkey.
The lower ranked Dziolko, who came as a qualifier in this tournament, turned into potential contender for the title as he unexpectedly thrashed Utrosa who was the sixth seeded player in Men’s Singles main draw.
Dziolko remained in smashing form throughout the competition and continued his giant killing performance in the semi-final when he outplayed his Slovenian challenger in just 34 minutes with a decent margin on the board.
Meanwhile, the higher ranked Utrosa tried his level best to tackle the aggression of un-seeded Polish challenger but failed to create gaps and also committed many errors in his strokes placement in right areas. He crashed out without even taking any set
from his in-form rival.
In the starting set, the impressive Dziolko showed a staggering show of attacking badminton on court as he executed powerful shots with impressive variations from starting rallies.
The hard-to-learn deception in Dziolko’s shots assisted him to keep his rival in trouble and he eventually stayed in complete command of rallies.
Polish man did not show any mercy to his higher ranked Slovenian rival in the starting half and established a tremendous lead in the arena.
After the mid-game break, the impressive Dziolko stayed focused on court and remained successful in keeping a comfortable lead against his higher ranked opponent.
Dziolko was quite calm and composed in his play and did not show any sign of confusion at any stage and took the game with a 21-17 score on the board.
In the second game of this semi-final encounter, things progressed in the similar fashion as the lower ranked Dziolko did not lose his focus and remained stick around against his opponent on score board until the break.
After the interval, Dziolko continued his incredible control over the pace of rallies and he did not spare any chance for his challenger to take charge of the game.
The impressive Dziolko stayed fully focused at the ending stage of second set and he managed to end up the set with a decent total of 21-18.
Dziolko remained successful in giving a shock to his Slovenian challenger by winding up the match in straight sets with a convincing 21-17 and 21-18 score on the board.
