Adrian Morley says Lee Briers is Wales' danger man - Rugby League
Adrian Morley shared his thoughts while talking to the media reporters on Friday, October 28, and said that the biggest threat to the English side is Lee Briers of Wales, when the two sides will face each other at Leigh Sports Village, on Saturday.
The Welsh side is making its debut in the Gillette Four Nations after the demise of their Super League franchise, Crusaders, in hopes of proving their seriousness in rugby.
Morley commented that the English side is very strong in their defence and the key to break through their defence lies with the Wales stand-off, who is well known for his exceptional on-field skills.
While talking about his Warrington team-mate’s extraordinary performance, Morley stated, "He'll be the danger man. I know him better than most. He's a terrific player with fantastic skills. He's the most experienced player out of the whole squad. He's gone
very well this year. He's looking after himself a lot better now and has been really influential for Warrington."
He also dismissed the widespread notion about Wales being considered as the weakest of the remaining lot, which includes the giants Australia and New Zealand.
He also acknowledged that England is preparing itself for an equally tough game against the Welsh visitors which washes away the idea that Wales is considered the weakest of the teams in contention.
He further went on and explained that if a side goes into the clash not well prepared that means that they may have to face tougher consequences. Therefore, he clarified that his side is not clouding their spirits for tomorrow's clash with the above mentioned
feelings.
He also discussed and said that his side is ready for the tough clash with their spirits soaring high. Referring to the recent bad patch through which the Welsh side had to go through by pulling themselves out of the Super League licensing process, the prop
added that their opponents of tomorrow’s clash will not be treated any less than the others in competition.
This implied that losing part in Super League does not deprive the Welsh side of the respect they deserve.
