Adrian Sutil: I am very pleased with my qualifying results in Hungary – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has said that he is pleased with his qualifying round results at the Hungaroring racetrack held on Saturday, July 30, 2011.
Sutil also mentioned that he is very excited to be starting from eighth place on the opening grid in the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday, July 31, 2011 in Budapest.
The German finished his qualifying run in the eighth place for the second time in the 2011 Formula 1 season so far in Hungary after the German Grand Prix.
The team driver discussed his start in the Hungarian race weekend and said that he was not satisfied with the final practice run, as he was busy and struggling with a general lack of grip of his car during that.
The 28-year-old driver further stated that they made some changes in their car for the qualifying round of the Hungarian Grand Prix and that those changes gave them positive results.
Talking to reporters, Sutil said, “In the past the Hungaroring has not been a track where we have been very strong because it's a maximum downforce track, so it feels great to show once again that our car is competitive everywhere. The race tomorrow will
be all about getting the strategy spot on.”
On the other hand, his teammate Paul di Resta said that he is optimistic that they can perform well in the Hungarian Grand Prix following their successful qualifying round in Budapest.
The Brit mentioned, “We had a bit of a messy run in Q1 on the supersoft tyre, but other than that our prime run was very good and I was happy with the car. It's just my final lap in Q2 wasn't quite there so maybe I should have been a bit more adventurous.”
The team driver admitted that the car was competitive during the practice sessions and qualifying round in Hungary. The 25-year-old driver finished his qualifying run at the 11th place for Force India.
After a successful qualifying round in Hungary, di Resta is confident for Sunday’s race. Let’s see how both of the drivers perform in Hungary.
